No cookies, no analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no JavaScript. Any script element on a page is a block of data for search engines, which no browser runs. Every page is served with a policy that lets your browser load styles and images from this site only, so nothing is fetched from anywhere else. There is no analytics, no visit counter and no advertising. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Who serves the pages
The pages are served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server it receives what your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address and which browser you use. We add nothing on top. The same host serves the small feeds MenuBar for HEY and File for HEY read when they check for updates, which each app's privacy page describes.
Downloads and links out
The download comes from GitHub, which sees the request as it would any download. Installing with Homebrew fetches the same file through Homebrew. The coffee page links to Ko-fi, where giving happens under Ko-fi's own terms. When you follow a link to GitHub or Ko-fi, that site learns you came from this one, and nothing more from us.
The Thank you page
When you give a coffee, Ko-fi passes on to us what you gave it there. We use that to say thank you and to ask whether you would like to be named on the Thank you page, and for nothing else. Nobody is named without saying yes first. To be taken off, write to support@soulesstudio.com. The page is part of the site's source, which is kept in git, so a name once published stays in that history after it comes off the page. That is why we ask before we add.
